The Works of Henry James

Henry James, by John Singer Sargent, 1913
A hugely prolific writer, Henry James published hundreds of novels, reviews, essays, and short stories during his career. All of his fiction is still in print, and it is fairly easy to find many of his non-fiction works in compilations and other edited books. In addition, many of his pieces have been adapted to the stage or screen, allowing his stories to reach a wider public.

Because of the breadth of work which exists, his writings have been categorically divided. Please select one of the following:

Bibliography: A list of all published fiction and non-fiction written by Henry James.
Edited Works: A list of edited collections of essays, papers, letters, and criticism originally written by Henry James.
Adaptations: A list of all dramatic adaptations of the stories and novels of Henry James.
Archival Resources: A list of libraries and special collections which hold original documents pertaining to Henry James.
